Hart becomes winningest coach in Norse history as NKU takes down Oakland

ROCHESTER, Mich. – Northern Kentucky University Norse volleyball stayed hot on Saturday afternoon as the Norse extended their win streak to six with a four-set victory over Oakland. With the win, Northern Kentucky moved to 4-0 in Horizon League play with the win. 

The triumph also marked the 287th win of Norse head coach Liz Hart's career, as she surpassed Mary Biermann to become the winningest coach in NKU volleyball history with the victory.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
– Northern Kentucky out-hit the Golden Grizzlies, .356-.185 in the match. NKU's hitting percentage of .356 marked the first time that the Norse have hit over .300 in the season. NKU hit .609 with 15 kills in its set-three victory.
– The Norse led in every major statistical category, including aces, 7-2, blocks, 10-4, and digs, 63-56. 
– Ava Hoying again led the Norse in points with 17.5, going for 14 kills on a .353 hitting percentage with two aces, three total blocks, and six digs. 
– Ivey Stocks recorded 13 kills on a .444 hitting mark with five total blocks.
– Sydney Bray totaled nine kills on 18 attempts, recording a pair of aces with seven digs and a block.
– Abby Pickard led the Norse with 49 assists, as she double-doubled for the seventh time this season with 11 digs as well.
– Daisy Cluxton led the Norse with 15 digs and three aces. She also had four assists.
– Katie Noschang went for five total blocks, six kills, and two digs.
– Luci Heid ad seven kills with four digs.
