CHICAGO, Ill. – Northern Kentucky University Norse men's volleyball hit the road on Thursday, traveling up to Chicago for its first of two MIVA matches in Illinois. The Norse took on #8 Loyola Chicago, another tall task in the stacked conference, as the Norse were swept and fell to 0-5 in league play at the hands of the Ramblers.

– NKU couldn't keep up with the Ramblers, getting out-hit .545-.048 on the evening. Loyola only posted five attacking errors, while the Norse had 19. 19 of NKU's points came on Rambler service errors.

Devlin Biggs starred as NKU's points leader with 11, racking up a match-high nine kills with a solo block and an ace.

Matt Cosgrove had six kills on 12 attacks.

Will McElveen led the Norse with 21 assists on the night, also leading the squad with five digs.
