DAYTON, Ohio – Northern Kentucky University Norse softball headed up to Dayton for a midweek clash with the Flyers on Tuesday afternoon. The Norse fell behind early and never led in the game, dropping the contest 9-4.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- UD jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first, but NKU got a pair of runs back in the second after loading the bases. UD then scored six unanswered runs, and NKU scored a pair of late runs to make it a 9-4 final.
- The Norse started
Abigail Byrd in the circle, and she took a loss to drop to 4-3 on the season. She allowed five earned runs over 1.2 innings, striking out two batters.
Kyndall Ford relieved Byrd in the second, and she threw 2.1 innings, allowing a pair of earned runs.
Makaree Chapman closed the game with two scoreless innings.
- Offensively, the Norse tallied five hits in 25 at-bats, drawing seven walks.

Peyton Mueller-Stenz led the Norse with a pair of hits, finishing 2-4 from the plate while scoring a run.
