HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Northern Kentucky University Norse men's volleyball faced off against Queens University on Thursday night, taking on the Royals in the first of two matches at Regents Hall. NKU came up with its first conference victory of the season, taking down the Royals in five sets.

– Northern Kentucky out-hit the Royals .316-.236 on the night, including .464-.150 in set four and .333-.000 in set five. The Norse won every major statistical category except for digs & and service aces, tying in both categories.

Griffin Wheatley led the Norse with 19 kills on a .429 hitting percentage, also tallying seven digs and two blocks.

Juanmarco Diaz finished the night with 19 kills on a .342 hitting mark, while recording ten digs, three blocks, and a service ace.

Will McElveen totaled 16 digs on the night, hitting .281 with five total blocks.

Ryan Peterson led the Norse in blocks with six total, also recording five kills.

Nick Whitley led the Norse with 57 asists, also recording eight digs and a pair of kills.
