Men’s Volleyball sweeps Queens for second-straight victory

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – After a five-set victory over the Royals on Thursday, Northern Kentucky University Norse men's volleyball battled Queens again on Friday night. The Norse took down the Royals again, but this time in straight sets.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
– Northern Kentucky out-hit the Royals .282-.206 in the match, including hitting .382 in the final set. The Norse led in every major category, including points 50-44, blocks 7-6, and digs 44-41. 
– Will McElveen led the Norse with 13 kills on the night, hitting .310 with eight digs and a block. 
– Adam Blair finished with nine kills on a .368 hitting percentage with a block and two digs. 
– Griffin Wheatley finished the match with nine kills, three total blocks, and eight digs. 
– Juanmarco Diaz had six kills, three digs, and two assists. 
– Setter Nick Whitley led the squad in assists with 32 and also finished with 11 digs.
– Libero Trace Klausing led NKU in digs with 12.

NKU hits the road next week for matchups with Ball State and Ohio State on Thursday and Saturday, respectively.
