HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Northern Kentucky University Norse softball opened up a new Horizon League series with Robert Morris on Friday, looking to bounce back following back-to-back road series losses to Youngstown State and Green Bay. The Norse rallied from an early deficit to score 12 unanswered runs, taking down the Colonials in five innings.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
– RMU started things off with three hits in the first, scoring a pair of runs, but the Norse took a second-inning lead on Mack Brow's bases-clearing double and never looked back, scoring two more in the third and seven in the fourth as Alicia Flores shut down the Colonials' offense the rest of the way.
– Flores pitched the full five for the Norse, allowing two runs, one of them earned, allowing six hits and a walk while striking out five batters. She moved to 6-5 on the season with the victory. 
– Offensively, NKU batted 10-23 with three walks and one HBP, as eight different Norse recorded a base hit in the contest. 
– Mack Brow led the way, finishing 2-2 with a walk and a three-run double that ended up being the game-winner. 
– Jena Rhoads finished 2-3 with a pair of singles, an RBI, and a run scored. 
– Peyton Mueller-Stenz hit 1-2 with a double, an RBI, a run, and a walk.
– Lexy Morris batted 1-2 with a walk, two RBI, and a run scored.
