LEBANON, Ill. – Northern Kentucky University Norse men's volleyball battled #11 McKendree on Saturday afternoon, wrapping up its first regular season. The Norse took a set against the Bearcats, but fell in four as NKU now looks ahead to MIVA Tournament play.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
– Northern Kentucky dropped the match 19-25, 25-21, 22-25, 22-25, hitting .228 while allowing McKendree to hit .293 for the match. The Norse hit a match-high .440 in its victorious second set, holding the Bearcats to a .118 hitting percentage. However, it marked the only set that McKendree hit worse than .300 while it was the only set NKU posted above .250. The Norse also totaled more blocks than the Bearcats, winning that battle 9-6. 
– The Norse saw four players post seven-plus kills, as Griffin Wheatley led the way with 12 on the day. He also had a pair of blocks, an ace, and six digs. 
– Juanmarco Diaz posted a ten-kill, ten-dig double-double, also going for four blocks.
– Will McElveen posted eight kills with nine digs and two blocks.
– Adam Blair led NKU with five total blocks, including a solo, while posting an attacking line of 7-0-11 with an ace. 
– Nick Whitley led the Norse in assists with 29, also posting a service ace and five digs. 

NEXT UP
NKU will face off against top-seeded Ball State in the MIVA Quarterfinals on Saturday, April 18 at 7 PM in Muncie.
