HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Northern Kentucky University Norse softball continued its homestand on Tuesday, taking on the RedHawks of Miami. The Norse suffered an early deficit and couldn't get back in the game late, falling to Miami 11-3.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
– Northern Kentucky allowed six runs in the first three innings, before a
Brielle DiMemmo homer in the fourth brought some life into the NKU offense, but only scored two runs the rest of the way.
– NKU threw two pitchers, as
Abigail Byrd got the start and was saddled with the loss, dropping to 4-4 on the season. She allowed six earned runs in three innings.
Makaree Chapman threw the final four innings, allowing five earned runs while striking out two batters.

Brielle DiMemmo led the Norse offense as she went 2-3 with a homer and a double, scoring a pair of NKU's runs.

Lexy Morris finished the day 2-2 with a triple and a double, while batting in a run.

Emma Ginn batted 1-2 with an RBI double.
