HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Northern Kentucky University Norse softball took on Morehead State on Wednesday, looking to bounce back following three consecutive home losses to non-conference opponents. The Norse took an early lead in the first and held on late to secure a low-scoring victory.

Abigail Byrd allowed one unearned run in the first, and shutout the Eagles the rest of the way as she moved to 5-5 on the season with the complete game victory. Byrd allowed five hits and plunked a pair of batters while not allowing a walk. The freshman struck out a pair of batters and threw just 83 pitches over her seven innings of work.
– NKU's offense recorded five hits in 23 at-bats and walked four times. NKU also recorded six stolen bases in the game.

Brielle DiMemmo finished 1-2 with a run scored, a walk, and two stolen bases.
