Norse Baseball completes sweep of Golden Grizzlies

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Northern Kentucky University Norse baseball wrapped up its series with Oakland on Sunday after a pair of run-rule victories to start. The Norse offense got off to a hot start with nine runs through five, and Norse starting pitcher Cody Little threw five shutout innings to start as Northern Kentucky cruised to a six-run victory

GAME SUMMARY
– The Norse poured it on to start, as Jake Paulick drove in the first four runs of the game on a homer and a single. Alex Brazer capped NKU's scoring run with a two-run homer in the fifth, before the Golden Grizzlies got three back in the sixth and seventh, but Gannon Wentz and Gabe Stout shut the door for a Norse win. 

BOX SCORE BREAKDOWN
– Northern Kentucky starting pitcher Cody Little picked up his third win of the season with five scoreless innings, allowing two hits and one walk while striking out a pair. Tannis Lange allowed three runs in an inning, but Gannon Wentz's two shutout frames and Gabe Stout's goose egg in the ninth secured a Norse sweep. 
– Jake Paulick batted 3-5 with four RBI, two runs, and a homer. 
– Marcus Harrison hit 3-5 with a pair of doubles, driving in one and scoring once. 
– Alex Brazer finished 1-2 with a two-run home run and a walk, scoring twice. 
– Pierce Bauerle was plunked three times and scored a run. He leads the Horizon League with 22 HBPs.
