INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Northern Kentucky University Norse softball wrapped up the 2026 regular season on Saturday, taking on IU Indy in the final of a three-game series. After taking both games of Friday's doubleheader, the Norse came back from a late deficit for an extra-innings victory.

– The first four and a half innings of the contest went scoreless, as the Jaguars broke the tie in the fifth with a two-run single. Down 2-0 entering the seventh, the Norse quickly put two on, and an RBI groundout made it 2-1. With two outs,
Brielle DiMemmo delivered an RBI single to tie the game at two. In the eighth, big doubles from
Mack Brow and
Jena Rhoads helped the Norse secure a 6-2 victory.

Makaree Chapman made another quality start, allowing two earned runs in six innings.
Alicia Flores finished off the game with a pair of scoreless innings where she allowed just one baserunner and struck out two batters. Flores moved to 9-6 with the win.
– NKU's bats hit 11-34 with four HBPS on the day.

Mack Brow batted 3-5 with a double, two RBI, two runs, and a stolen base.

Peyton Mueller-Stenz hit 2-3 with an HBP, a run scored, and a stolen base.

Brielle DiMemmo went 2-4 with a double and an RBI.

NEXT UP
Northern Kentucky will skip the first day of the Horizon League Championships and open things on on Thursday, May 7, at 2:30 PM. The Norse will take on the winner of RMU/Detroit Mercy on Wednesday.
