Volleyball falls to Ohio State

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Northern Kentucky University Norse volleyball wrapped up play in the Jim Stone Challenge on Sunday, taking on the hosts, Ohio State. Northern Kentucky opened with a first set victory, but dropped the next three to fall in four sets.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
– Ohio State hit .273 in the match to a .187 hitting percentage from the Norse. The Norse shockingly did not record an ace in the match while allowing nine from the Buckeyes. The only statistical category in which the Norse bested the Buckeyes was blocks, which they recorded ten to OSU's nine.
– Sydney Bray recorded her third-straight double-double with eleven kills and eleven digs in the match. Bray also recorded five block assists. 
– Ava Hoying had eleven kills, a block and two digs. 
– Luci Heid had ten kills, two digs and a block assist. 
– Abby Pickard had 33 assists and tied a team-high with 14 digs. 
– Daisy Cluxton had 14 digs and eight assists. 
– Katie Noschang had five kills and led the Norse with six total blocks.

– Northern Kentucky heads to Bowling Green next weekend, taking on American, Arkansas State, and BGSU over September 4-5.
