JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – Northern Kentucky University Norse women's triathlon continued the 2026 campaign on Friday evening, as they traveled down to ETSU for the Buccaneer Collegiate Cup. Out of ten competing teams, Northern Kentucky finished fifth, scoring 117 total points, behind Queens, Lenoir Rhyne, East Tennessee State, and Duquesne.
The Buccaneer Collegiate Cup consisted of a 400yd swim, a 4.78-mile bike, and a 1.55-mile run. The event counts towards a qualifying standard for the National Championship in November.
Like the first race the previous weekend,
Charlotte Cunningham led the Norse with a final time of 32:40.05, finishing 22nd overall among 51 runners.
Fallon Bright came in 26th place, with a final time of 35:34.93.
Tia Weiss (37:26.89, 31st) and
Maggie Wilson (38:25.56, 33rd) came up next for the Norse, while
Maddux Bigam (44:07.02, 41st) and
Hannah Rachford (46:34.88, 43rd) rounded out the field of NKU runners.
Up next, the Norse will head to Indianapolis, Indiana for the UIndy Aquathlon on Sunday.
