AT NKU: Begins her fourth year at NKU...outstanding defensive player and excellent leader...has powerful jump serve...will be a key performer in the back row. 2011: Posted a team-best 491 digs for an average of 4.38 per set...ranked fifth among Great Lakes Valley Conference defensive specialists and was among the top 100 nationally in digs per set...collected 30 digs in five-set match at UW-Parkside on Sept. 23. 2010: Played in 33 matches...led team with 446 digs...also served up 34 aces. 2009: Saw action in 32 matches as a freshman...led the GLVC in service aces at 0.48 per set and collected a total of 56 aces...also finished with 211 digs.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2009 graduate of Mount Notre Dame High School...led the Girls’ Greater Cincinnati League in aces with 61 as a senior...collected a school-record nine aces in the regional semifinals...also had 492 digs (5.59 digs per game) and was named All-Ohio first team...earned All-GGCL honors in 2008...received the Excellence in Defense Award as a senior.
PERSONAL: Born on March 18, 1991...daughter of Mike and Kelli Tarantino.
