OUTDOOR: Set a personal-best in the 1500m with a time of 4:09.12 at the Oliver Nikoloff Invitational.

INDOOR: Finished 15th in the mile and set a personal-best with a time of 4:34.86 at the Horizon League Championships.

CROSS COUNTRY: Did not compete.

2019-2020

OUTDOOR: Did not compete this season due to COVID-19 pandemic.

INDOOR: Helped the Norse earn points and place sixth in the 4x400 at the John Gartland Invitational...posted a personal-record mile at the Cedarville Collegiate Indoor Invitational finishing 21st with a time of 4:36:72...posted two personal-bests at the Indianapolis Team Invitational by placing 15th in the 400m with a time of 54:84 and placing fifth in the 800m with a time of 2:02:61...finished 7th in the Distance Medley with a time of 10:47:64 at the Horizon League Championship.

CROSS COUNTRY: Finished 82nd at the Queen City Invitational with a time of 17:06.10.

PRIOR TO NKU: Under Coach Todd Culbertson at Muhlenberg County High School, Newman collected honors in both cross country and track. Newman was a 4x state qualifier in cross country and was named to the All Region Team. In track, Newman was a 4x state meet qualifier where he placed third in the 1600 and 4th in the 800 during his senior campaign. He holds the Muhlenberg County school record in the 1600 and 800 events.
