NKU Athletics Academic Staff
The Athletics Academic Staff includes two full-time advisors; one located in the Truist Arena at Northern Kentucky University and one located in the Albright Health Center (AHC). The staff also includes a Graduate Assistant who is located in the Academic Lab in Truist Arena.

Truist Arena -- Thomas J. Kearns Academic Lab
Thanks in large part to the generosity of Thomas J. Kearns, student-athletes at Northern Kentucky University have access to the Thomas J. Kearns Academic Lab located in the Truist Arena. Dr. Kearns served as NKU's first Faculty Athletic Representative from 1984-2006 and was a member of the NKU Athletic Council for 27 years. He also authored many reports concerning the athletics program and certified the eligibility of every NKU student-athlete for 23 years. Kearns served as president of the Great Lakes Valley Conference during his career.
The Academic Lab includes 13 computers, a printer, and work areas for student-athletes. The lab provides an area where student-athletes can study quietly, as well as work on and print assignments. It also is a place where tutors and learning specialists can work with student-athletes.

Albright Health Center -- Academic Lab
An academic lab is located in Albright Health Center near Regents Hall (AHC 232). It includes four computers and a printer where student-athletes can work on and print assignments. Student-athletes have access to the lab during building hours.
