Robert Kenney Shields Men's Basketball Endowed Scholarship

In his 16-year career at NKU from 1988 – 2004, Coach Shields built the men's basketball program into a national power. His teams competed successfully in the highly competitive Great Lakes Valley Conference, won two NCAA Great Lakes Regional titles and advanced to the NCAA Elite Eight finishing as national finalists in 1996 and 1997. The funding provides scholarship support for NKU men's basketball student-athletes.

The 2021-22 recipient for the Robert Kenney Shields Men's Basketball Endowed Scholarship is Trey Robinson, a sophomore on the men's basketball team.
