Biography
AT NKU: Knight enters his first season with the Norse…outstanding offensive player and rebounder…a transfer from Bowling Green State…could contend for All-GLVC honors this season.
AT BGSU: Played two seasons for the Falcons…saw action in 24 games last season… was fifth on the team in scoring (6.2 points) and third in rebounding (4.4 per game)…named Mid-American Conference Eastern Division Player of the Week twice in a three-week stretch... averaged 14.5 points and 6.5 rebounds in wins over Towson and Eastern Illinois to get the award the first time...scored 22 points, including 17 in the first half, and made 9-of-14 shots in a win over Buffalo to open MAC play to be named Player of the Week for the second time…as a freshman in 2007-08, played in 29 games, starting 28…averaged 10.7 points and a team-leading 7.3 rebounds per game, ranking sixth in the MAC in the latter…second on the Falcons in scoring and third in blocked shots (1.0 per game)... had four double-doubles that season…named most valuable player of the Peggy Cronin Classic in his hometown of Cincinnati and was named MAC Eastern Division Player of the Week on Nov. 12 for that performance...in that tournament, had a double-double in his collegiate debut with 16 points and 10 rebounds against Western Carolina…followed that up with 20 points in a win over Belmont…scored 24 points and grabbed eight rebounds, making 10-of-16 shots, in a win over Cincinnati at Fifth Third Arena.
PREP SCHOOL: Attended The Patterson School in North Carolina during 2005-06...helped the team to a 37-3 record and a No. 3 national ranking for prep schools...averaged 12 points and 10 rebounds per game.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2005 graduate of Withrow High School in Cincinnati...a first team all-city and a two-time all-state selection...the Southwest Ohio Public School League MVP as a senior after averaging 23 points, 12 rebounds and six blocks per game as the team advanced to the district championship...also the SWOPL MVP in his junior year of 2003-04, averaging 22 points and 10 boards per game...scored 43 points, grabbed 24 rebounds and blocked 12 shots in a win over Dayton Dunbar...also averaged a double-double as a sophomore with 14 points and 10 rebounds per game as the Tigers went 20-1 overall and 15-0 in the league…coached by Steve Gentry.
