Ben Sisson joined the Northern Kentucky men's basketball staff in the summer of 2026 following a successful stint as an assistant at Morehead State University.

Sisson spent three seasons with the Eagles, helping Morehead achieve a 61-39 overall record and a 39-19 record in Ohio Valley Conference play. In Sisson’s first season with the Eagles, he served as the manager of player personnel. He helped Morehead earn 2023-24 OVC regular season and tournament championships under head coach Preston Spradlin, and helped develop Ohio Valley Player of the Year and current Cleveland Cavalier Riley Minix. After serving in the same role for the 2024-25 campaign, Sisson was promoted to an assistant coach in his second season on Jonathan Mattox’s staff. In 2025-26, the Eagles finished second in the OVC with a 15-5 conference record and a 20-13 overall record, making their second appearance in the conference title game in three seasons. While at Morehead, he oversaw five All-OVC selections in three seasons, including three first-team honorees.

Before arriving at Morehead, Sisson was a four-year standout at NCAA DII Kentucky Wesleyan, where he scored 709 career points and grabbed 484 rebounds for the Panthers. Sisson was named a Great Midwest Athletic Conference All-Conference Second Team selection after averaging 11.2 points and 7.6 rebounds in his senior campaign. Sisson earned Academic All-GMAC honors on three occasions and graduated with a bachelor’s in history.

A Fort Thomas native, Sisson attended Highlands High School, where he was awarded the Region 9 Player of the Year and Division II Player of the Year in Northern Kentucky in his senior year. He was a high school teammate of former Norse standout Sam Vinson.
