Dustin Maguire is in his second season as an assistant coach at Northern Kentucky University. A former standout for the Norse, Maguire started all 31 games during the 2008-09 season and averaged a team-leading 15.0 points per game as NKU captured the Great Lakes Valley Conference championship.
Maguire netted 33 points against Louisville in an exhibition game in The Bank of Kentucky Center on Nov. 8, 2008, and he was 9-for-12 from 3-point range in that game. He led the nation in free-throw shooting at 93.6 percent (88-for-94) in 2008-09 and was 76-for-191 from 3-point range.
Maguire was named second team All-GLVC in 2008-09 and also earned All-Midwest Region honors.
