Haut then spent three seasons as an assistant at TCU prior to returning to Kent State in 2011, where he served as an assistant coach until being promoted to associate head coach in 2016.
During his time at Kent State, as either a student-athlete or coach, Haut helped lead the Golden Flashes to five of the program’s six NCAA Tournament appearances. He graduated from Kent State in 2004 with a degree in finance.
Haut is married to Tanicius and has a step-daughter Kamya, who is on the track & field team at Kent State as a middle-distance runner, and son Karter.
HORN ON HAUT
"I have known Eric since he first started in college basketball as a graduate assistant for me at WKU. Since then, I have watched him grow into one of the rising stars in our business. He is the complete package as a teacher, tactician and recruiter who brings a wealth of experience and connections recruiting in areas where we need to have a strong presence at NKU."
