AT NKU: Hester begins his second season at NKU...sat out last year...excellent point guard and floor leader...a transfer from Union (Ky.)...will add depth in the backcourt.

AT UNION: Played two years for the Bulldogs...averaged 9.8 points per game as a sophomore...dished out 127 assists...named to the All-Appalachian Athletic Conference Freshmen Team after averaging 7.0 ppg.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2007 graduate of Simon Kenton High School...averaged 17.1 points per game as a senior...scored more than 1,000 career points for the Pioneers...named all-region as a junior and senior.

PERSONAL: Born on Oct. 10, 1988...son of Mike and Missy Hester.
