- Darbyshire, a local product from Sycamore High School, makes his way to NKU after a standout career with the Aviators.
- The 6'4" guard/small forward was rated as the 74th best overall prospect in the state of Ohio and the ninth best guard in the state for the class of 2023 by PrepHoops.com.
- Posted averages of 10.6 points, 5.8 rebounds and 2.7 assists to conclude his senior season at Sycamore. He shot 50 percent from the field and 33.3 percent from behind the arc en route to an All-Southwest Ohio Boys Basketball team honorable mention.
- Darbyshire is also the younger brother of University of Kentucky walk-on Grant Darbyshire and competed for the local Midwest Basketball Club.
