OUTDOOR: Posted a PR in the 5000m at the Oliver Nikoloff Invitational with a time of 17:13.15...Set personal bests in the 1500m (4:31.96) and the 800m (2:15.19) at the RedHawk Invitational.
INDOOR: Did not compete.
CROSS COUNTRY: Competed in both meets of the season.
2019-2020
OUTDOOR:Â Did not compete this season due to COVID-19 pandemic.
INDOOR:Â Finished 26th in the 3000m at the Cedarville Collegiate Indoor Invitational with a time of 9:57:60...Finished 23rd in the mile at the Indianapolis Team Invitational with a time of 4:53:59.
CROSS COUNTRY: Finished 91st at the Queen City Invitational with a time of 17:54.0
PRIOR TO NKU: Downey competed for the Tigers of Beechwood High School. He placed first in the 5k event at his conference meet with a time of 16:20. Downey was the XC Region Champion in 2019 and was named the Division 2 Boys XC "Most Outstanding" Runner.
