Biography

David Bender the owner of J. David Bender, Attorney at Law and is a member on the Executive Team for the Go Norse Fund. David graduated from Northern Kentucky University’s College of Arts & Sciences in 1976, and then earned a degree in 1979 from NKU’s Salmon P. Chase College of Law.

David got involved with NKU Athletics because of his local ties. Former NKU Men’s Basketball Coach, Kenney Shields, was his high school basketball coach and teacher at St. Thomas High School in Fort Thomas, KY. He also went to high school with former women’s basketball head coach, Nancy Winstel.

We asked David why he stays involved with NKU Athletics and he said, “I stay involved in NKU Athletics because of my passion to assure that our student-athletes have the proper tools/skills to be successful both in the classroom and on their respective courts/fields of play.” David is a longstanding member of our team, as he was an active member of the former Norse Athletics Club, the predecessor of the Go Norse Fund, and he has a profound loyalty to NKU and NKU Athletics, as double graduate of the University.
