2018 All-Horizon League First Team

2018: Started all 17 matches for the Norse this season…Recorded six goals and five assist for 17 points…She tallied the most points on the team in 2018…She scored against Murray State, Lipscomb, Green Bay, Detroit Mercy, Cleveland State and UIC…Played 104 minutes against Wright State and Detroit Mercy…Named to the All-Horizon League First Team.

2017: Played in all 17 contests this season, making seven starts…Recorded an assist in the team’s 2-1 win over Morehead State on Aug. 21…Had a goal and an assist in the 7-1 win against Youngstown State…Scored the game-winning goal against Detroit Mercy on Sept. 30…Had an assist in the team’s 3-1 win over Green Bay on Oct. 14.

2016 Horizon League All-Tournament Team

2016: Fourth on the team in goals with four after appearing in 20 of NKU’s 21 contests, making five starts … logged 793 minutes on the pitch … also posted an assist to total nine points on the season – the fifth-most on the squad … fired 15 shots, 11 on goal for a team-leading .733 shot on goal percentage … posted one game-winner, coming in the Horizon League Tournament Championship against Milwaukee on Nov. 5 when the Norse overcame a 2-0 deficit to claim the University’s first Division I conference championship … posted her first collegiate assist in a 2-1 victory over defending Horizon League champion Oakland on Sept. 28 … scored her first collegiate goal on Oct. 15 at UIC as the Norse shutout the Flames, 4-0 … scored another goal in the next game against Detroit on Oct. 22 … scored two goals in the Horizon League tournament, one in the semifinals against Detroit and another in the finals against Milwaukee … was named to the Horizon League All-Tournament Team … played 150 minutes across NKU’s three HL Tournament matches and logged 44 minutes of action in the first round of the NCAA Tournament at No. 1 West Virginia.

PRIOR TO NKU: A 2015 All-Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League selection ... holds the Yough High School all-time record for goals scored with 97 career goals across 76 games played for the Cougars ... as a senior, Zaken scored 19 goals and registered five assists after netting 31 goals and dishing out 31 assists as a junior ... coached by Dann Appolonia ... was also recognized as one of the top eight players by Top Drawer Soccer after playing for the Pittsburgh Riverhounds Academy club team ... scored 36 goals and posted 43 assists across 55 games in the last two seasons for the Riverhounds under coach Scott Gibson.

PERSONAL: Daughter of David and Lisa Zaken ... plans to major in Human Resource Management.
