PRIOR TO NKU / PERSONAL
  • A 6-foot-1 opposite, Porter joins the Norse from Grand Rapids, Michigan.
  • Porter attends Kenowa Hills High School where she has played for the school's volleyball program for four seasons now.
  • During her senior year she appeared in 39 matches totaling 252 kills, a hitting percentage of .243 and 55 blocks.
  • Was named All-Conference along with Most Aggressive Player and Most Aggressive Hitter.
  • Shelby currently is a member of the club team MVA 18 Black
  • She has been named to both the JVA Watch List and the AVCA Phenom List.
  • She will look to complete her degree from Northern Kentucky and became a physician's assistant upon graduating   
  • Porter is the daughter of Gregory Porter and Stephanie Haggerty and has two siblings Sofia and Elisabeth.
