KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The winning streak is at 10 for the Northern Kentucky University volleyball team, which posted a four-set victory against Rockhurst on Thursday night.

Natalie Forbes dished out 46 assists and recorded 13 digs as NKU won by scores of 22-25, 25-15, 25-21, 25-22. The 23rd-ranked Norse improved to 19-3 overall, 9-1 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.

NKU also extended its current winning streak to 10 and has not lost since dropping a three-set decision at Lewis on Sept. 13. The 10 consecutive wins are the most by NKU since 2004, when the Norse ran off 12 straight victories between Oct. 8 and Nov. 11 that season.

Forbes, a senior setter from Highlands High School, added five kills and attacked at a .364 clip as NKU cruised to the win. Kelsey Wesaw, who on Monday was named GLVC Player of the Week, finished with 17 kills and added four blocks.

Kristina Eisenmenger and Noelle Peterson each tallied 11 kills. Kim Nemcek finished with seven kills and 17 digs for the Norse, who hit .280 as a team. Nemcek attacked at a .385 clip for the match.

Rockhurst (12-8 overall, 6-4 GLVC) held a 22-20 lead in the fourth set, but NKU closed with a 5-0 run to win the match. Nemcek and Eisenmenger combined for a block to tie the set at 22-all. NKU took a 23-22 lead when Nemcek converted a kill, and Katie Latenser served up an ace to make it 24-22.

Eisenmenger then ended the contest with a kill off an assist from Forbes. The Notre Dame Academy graduate now has 1,543 career kills and moved past Cammi Welter (1,535 kills) into sixth place in school history Thursday night.

The Norse defense finished with a 64-49 advantage in digs and limited Rockhurst to a .134 hitting percentage. Chelsea Clark collected 16 digs for NKU.

NKU concludes the road trip Friday night with a GLVC match at Drury in Springfield, Mo. The Norse can wrap up their 16th consecutive 20-win season with a victory on Friday.
