NKU head coach Carlos Chia collected his 200th win Friday.
GREENEVILLE, Tenn. – Carlos Chia recorded his 200th win as volleyball head coach at Northern Kentucky University on Friday afternoon as the Norse defeated Mount Olive (N.C.) in three sets at the Tusculum Fall Classic.
NKU rolled past Mount Olive by scores of 25-19, 25-20, 25-13 to give Chia his 200th victory with the Norse. Chia, in his ninth season as the NKU head coach, is now 200-73.
Earlier in the day, NKU opened the season by posting a 25-20, 25-9, 25-16 win against Converse (S.C.). The Norse (2-0) conclude the two-day event Saturday with matches against Newberry (noon) and host Tusculum (2 p.m.).
NKU hits the road next weekend to participate in the North Alabama Classic at Florence, Ala.
