NKU (10-5) meets Urbana (8-8) in a non-conference match Wednesday.
HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky University volleyball team plays host to Urbana in a non-conference match Wednesday at 7 p.m. in Regents Hall.
NKU resumes Great Lakes Valley Conference action Friday with a home match against Maryville (Mo.) at 7 p.m. Maryville is in its first season as a member of the GLVC.
NKU is 10-5 after defeating Southern Indiana in four sets last Saturday. Urbana enters Wednesday night's match with an 8-8 record after falling to Indiana-East on Tuesday night.
Maryville owns a 1-8 overall mark, and the Saints are 0-2 in the GLVC.
SERVING UP VICTORY: NKU's strong serving game resulted in 26 aces during wins against Kentucky Wesleyan and Southern Indiana last weekend. The Norse collected 13 aces against the Panthers on Friday night, and served up 13 more winners against Southern Indiana the following day.
NKU enters Wednesday having served up a GLVC-leading 135 aces. Freshman defender/outside hitter
