Norse volleyball meets No. 21 UM-St. Louis in key GLVC battle Friday night in Regents Hall

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky University volleyball team concludes its home schedule this weekend with a pair of key Great Lakes Valley Conference matches.

NKU plays host to No. 21 Missouri-St. Louis at 7 p.m. Friday in Regents Hall. Missouri-St. Louis enters that match with a 19-5 overall record. The nationally ranked Tritons are 10-2 in the GLVC but suffered a four-set loss at home to Southern Indiana last Saturday.

Missouri S&T visits NKU at 3 p.m. Saturday in the Norse's home finale. NKU will then head to the GLVC Tournament, which will be held at the site of the No. 1 seed. The GLVC Tournament will be played Nov. 12-14, with the winner receiving an automatic berth in the NCAA Division II Tournament.

NKU is 18-12 overall, 8-4 in the GLVC. The Norse are ranked seventh in the latest NCAA Division II Midwest Region poll. Missouri-St. Louis is sixth in the latest regional poll. NKU owns an 18-3 lead in the all-time series against Missouri-St. Louis.
