The NKU men's basketball team is bound for the GLVC Tournament semifinals.

RENSSELAER, Ind. – The Northern Kentucky University men's basketball team earned a trip to the semifinals of Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament by posting a 66-60 victory against Saint Joseph's on Sunday afternoon.
Tony Rack scored 13 points for NKU, which avenged a regular-season loss to Saint Joseph's. Rack drained a trio of 3-pointers for the Norse, who shot 53.1 percent from the field and improved to 17-12.
NKU built a 34-20 halftime lead, but Saint Joseph's rallied and eventually took a 43-42 advantage with 10:35 left in the game. NKU then used an 8-0 run, capped by Rack's 3-pointer, to gain a 50-43 lead and held off the Pumas.
David Palmer scored 11 points and blocked three shots for NKU.
Scott Bibbins added 10 points and five assists.
Phillip Collins scored 12 points for Saint Joseph's, which finished the season with a 17-11 record. The Pumas were the No. 1 seed from the GLVC North Division.
NKU travels to Springfield, Ill., next Saturday to meet Kentucky Wesleyan in the semifinal round of the GLVC Tournament. The Norse, who split a pair of regular-season meetings with the Panthers, are the defending champions of the GLVC Tournament.
The GLVC Tournament champion receives an automatic berth in the upcoming NCAA Division II Tournament. NKU is seeking its fourth consecutive trip to the NCAA Division II Tournament.
