Eshaunte Jones knocked down five 3-pointers and finished with 20 points to lead unbeaten Northern Kentucky University to an 82-70 win over Saint Joseph's on Thursday night.
Jones also pulled down nine rebounds and added two assists as NKU improved to 5-0 overall, 1-0 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.
Chad Jackson finished with 15 points, nine rebounds and five assists for the Norse, who shot 51.1 percent from the field.
Ethan Faulkner made all 10 of his free throws and finished with 15 points for NKU, which owns a 39-20 lead in the all-time series against Saint Joseph's. The Norse led by as many as 20 points (63-43) before the Pumas mounted a comeback that was sparked by guard Dayvon Sloan, who poured in a game-high 34 points.
Sloan scored 25 points in the second half and drained five 3-pointers as Saint Joseph's eventually cut the NKU lead to 72-68 with 54 seconds left. The Norse sealed the win by making 10 free throws in the last minute, with Faulkner converting six of the charity tosses.

Ernest Watson both scored nine points for NKU, which is now 18-12 all-time against Saint Joseph's in Scharf Fieldhouse. The Norse dominated the boards and finished with a 35-21 rebounding advantage.
Saint Joseph's dropped to 3-2 overall, 0-1 in the GLVC.
The Norse conclude the two-game road trip Saturday night by meeting Indianapolis in Nicoson Hall. Indianapolis upset top-ranked Bellarmine on Thursday night in Nicoson Hall, 99-94, in overtime.
