HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky University volleyball team attacked at a .316 clip Saturday afternoon and cruised to a 25-16, 25-17, 22-25, 25-13 win over visiting Mercer in Regents Hall.

Four Northern Kentucky players finished with double-figure kill totals, paced by Jayden Julian's 14. Keely Creamer and Jenna Ruble each slammed down 12 kills, while Tristen Simpson added 10. Creamer also hit .458 with three blocks, while Ruble attacked at a .455 clip and had two block solos.

Taylor Snyder notched her 12th double-double of the season with 54 assists and 14 digs as the Norse improved to 8-12 overall, 3-5 in the Atlantic Sun Conference. Northern Kentucky easily won the first two sets, but Mercer battled back in the third frame and hit .405 to pull out a 25-22 victory.

In the fourth set, Northern Kentucky jumped out to an 8-1 lead and coasted to the win. Anna Prickel served up three aces and had eight digs for the Norse. Prickle now has 1,061 career digs, which is 13th in Norse history.

Kaela Jo Freppon led the Norse defense with 15 digs. Freppon also added nine kills and hit .286.

Caroline Carlton led Mercer (1-17 overall, 0-8 A-Sun) with 12 kills. The Bears hit just .176 and dropped their 16th consecutive match. Northern Kentucky is now 3-0 all-time against Mercer.

Northern Kentucky travels to Florida next week for A-Sun matches against Stetson (Friday) and Florida Gulf Coast (Saturday).
