HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky University volleyball team makes the quick turnaround to midweek action on Tuesday when the Norse hit the road to take on Atlantic Sun Conference foe Lipscomb at Allen Arena in Nashville, Tenn.  First serve is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Eastern.

NKU (6-11, 1-4 A-Sun) will look to carry the momentum of Saturday's 3-2 victory over South Carolina Upstate into Nashville on Tuesday. The Norse got double-doubles from Taylor Snyder, who had 47 assists and 12 digs, and Kaela Jo Freppon, who posted 12 kills and 14 digs on the match.  Jayden Julian had a team-high 16 kills while Megan Wanstrath had 11 kills and Jenna Ruble added six blocks.

A WORD ABOUT LIPSCOMB: The Lady Bisons boast a 9-6 record overall and a 3-2 mark against A-Sun opposition, led by Jewell Dobson, who leads the A-Sun with 4.96 kills per set to rank in the top 10 nationally and a .397 hitting percentage, good for a top 50 national rank.  Caitlin Dotson is the nation's top setter, averaging 12.72 assists per set to lead the A-Sun.  Lipscomb's 15.45 kills per set and 14.14 assists per set each top the nation their respective statistical categories.

LAST TIME AGAINST THE LADY BISONS: Dobson collected 14 kills and hit .385 to lead Lipscomb to a straight-set (25-23, 25-19, 25-22) win over NKU on Sept. 18.  The Lady Bisons attacked at a .330 clip for the match as Molly Spitznagle added 11 kills.  Jenna Ruble and Jayden Julian each finished with nine kills for Northern Kentucky.  Lipscomb has won all three meetings between the teams in a series that began last season.

JULIAN LEADING THE WAY: Sophomore outside hitter Jayden Julian has been an offensive force for the Norse this season. Since NKU's match against Evansville on Sept. 7, Julian has recorded double-digit kills in nine matches and had nine kills in three other matches.  In Friday's defeat at the hands of East Tennessee State, Julian posted a .394 hitting percentage, her best of the season.

BLOCK PARTY: In Friday's match against East Tennessee State, the Norse managed 12 blocks, marking their highest block total of the season and the most for an NKU squad since a 12-block performance in a win at Jacksonville on Oct. 19, 2012.  On Saturday, Northern Kentucky outblocked USC Upstate by a 10-8 margin, the second time in five league matches that the Norse have accomplished that feat.

PILING UP THE DIGS: Anna Prickel eclipsed the 1,000-dig mark last week and continues her climb up the all-time ranks.  Now with 1,033 career digs, Prickel needs just three digs on Tuesday to pass Tristen Dye for 13th all-time at NKU.

UP NEXT: Tuesday's jaunt south stands alone between two home weekends, as the Norse will host Kennesaw State and Mercer at Regents Hall this weekend. Friday is Faculty and Staff Appreciation Night, and all NKU faculty and staff will receive free admission by presenting an NKU All Card.  Saturday's match against Mercer is Junior Norse Day, all kids aged 12 and under will receive free admission to the match.
