COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Northern Kentucky University men's tennis team opened the 2015 spring season with its toughest test of the season, falling to No.5 Ohio State by a 7-0 score.
 
Two Norse players took on nationally ranked singles competition, with Mate Virag falling to No. 21 Chris Diaz, 6-1, 6-4, and Jody Maginley was bested by No. 66 Ralf Steinbach, 6-1 and 6-2.
 
NKU (0-1) opens the home half of the schedule on Saturday, Feb. 7, when the Norse host Dayton. First serve is set for 6 p.m.
