Men’s Tennis Opens Fall 2026 Campaign at NKU Fall Invitational

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – This weekend, Northern Kentucky University Norse men's tennis opened its 2026 fall season by hosting the NKU Fall Invitational at the NKU Tennis Complex. The tournament saw six competing teams: Northern Kentucky, Dayton, Xavier, Southern Indiana, Eastern Kentucky, and Thomas More. 

Norse student-athletes collected five wins in action, as Arnau Puig and Mateus Ranciaro earned singles wins, while doubles pairs of Dugan Fowler/Dylan Dethridge, Zaid Shelbaya/Ranciaro, and Isaac Smyth/Dethridge notched victories. The Norse faced off in singles play against USI, as Arnau Puig's three-set victory was the only NKU win over a Screaming Eagle. Ranciaro took down EKU's Will Roberts in three sets, while the Norse faced off against Xavier, Eastern Kentucky, and Thomas More in doubles play.
