HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky University men's soccer team closes the 2016 campaign on Friday, Nov. 4 against Horizon League foe Green Bay. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. ET at Aldo Santaga Stadium.

LAST TIME OUT: The Norse are coming off a 5-0 loss to Valparaiso on the road. Freshman goalkeeper Owen Betz posted five saves, including four in the first half, after seeing 60:02 minutes of action. Sophomore Christian Carey stepped in goal for the final 20 minutes of play, picking up one save and conceding one goal to an aggressive Valparaiso offense.
 
SCOUTING THE PHOENIX: Green Bay currently sits seventh in the Horizon League with a 3-3-2 mark in conference play. A win could secure the Phoenix a spot in the Horizon League Championship. Green Bay has won two of its last three contests, most recently a 2-0 shutout over Detroit Mercy last weekend. Three of its four total victories this season have come against HL foes.
 
The Phoenix have held League opponents to five goals across eight games at a 0.62 goals per game clip. Meanwhile, the offense has scored 0.75 goals per League contest. Green Bay has distributed its offense with its 20 total points being split across nine different players. William Nordenstrom and Andre Baires have a team-high four points on two goals apiece.
 
The Phoenix have been out-scored 20-8 overall this season. Kyle Ihn is the only goalkeeper to see action this season. He owns a 1.29 goals-against average and .747 save percentage.
 
SERIES HISTORY: The all-time series between the teams is tied at 1-1. Green Bay won the first meeting in 2012, 1-0. Last season, NKU defeated the Phoenix 2-1 in overtime at NKU Soccer Stadium. Kobie Qualah netted both of NKU's goals, including the golden goal just 14 seconds into the first overtime period. Johannes Jansen, Jacob Cunningham and Alwin Komolong picked up assists in the victory.
 
TEAM LEADERS: Campbell Morris, a junior midfielder, owns a team-best six points on three goals. Qualah follows with a pair of goals and an assist for five points. The remainder of NKU's 16 points is distributed among eight players including three freshmen. Anders Mathiesen has a team-high two assists for two points while fellow freshmen Bryce Day and Eirik Abney have one point apiece. Jansen and Morris are tied with a team-high 21 shots while Qualah leads in shots on goal with 13 on 19 total shot attempts.
 
Defender Dylan Carss has played 1,608 total minutes, seeing action in all but 24 of NKU's minutes played. Freshman goalkeeper Owen Betz is averaging five saves per League contest, which ranks third in the Horizon League. Meanwhile, 25 saves in League matches ranks fourth. He owns team-best marks in goals-against average (1.46), save percentage (0.774) and saves (41).
