RICHMOND, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky University softball team fell on Tuesday in nonconference play to Eastern Kentucky, 9-0.
Eastern Kentucky (23-6) pushed across runs in the first, third and fifth innings to contribute to the final score.
Nicolette Hayes and
Dani Devlin each muscled out hits for the Norse, who fell to 8-21 on the season.
Alyssa Enrique went the distance for the Norse in her first start of the year.
NKU now turns its attention back to Horizon League play, as the Norse will travel to take on Valparaiso in a three-game series. Friday's opener is set for a 3 p.m. Central (4 p.m. Eastern) start, with Saturday's doubleheader is scheduled for 1 p.m. Central (2 p.m. Eastern).
