Norse suffer back-to-back setback sweeps at Butler Invite

 
INDIANAPOLIS – Northern Kentucky's volleyball team had its first consecutive losses of the season, falling in three to both Butler and Arizona. The Bulldogs claimed the opening match, 25-21, 25-18, 25-15. In the second match, the Wildcats claimed a 25-14, 25-18, 25-13 win over the Norse. With the losses, the Norse fall to 6-4 on the season. Butler advanced to 10-4, while Arizona went to 6-4 on the season.
NKU vs. Butler Match Report
First Set Summary
  •         NKU's hitting percentage of .108 would prove to be the most efficient of the match, led by junior rightside hitter Drew Hendricks with four kills on seven swings.
  •         Redshirt-senior libero Lauren Hurley carried over her defensive prowess from last weekend, scooping up eight digs in the first set.
  •         Four Norse assisted on a block, combining for two in the first frame.
  •         The Bulldogs hit .282 as a team in the first set.
