@NKUNorseWSOC stays unbeaten in Horizon League play with 1-0 win over IUPUI

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky University women's soccer team defeated IUPUI on Saturday evening by a final score of 1-0. The Norse improve to 8-3-1 overall and 4-0-1 in the Horizon League. IUPUI falls to 5-7-3 and 2-2-1 in league play.

"Our team continues to demonstrate qualities that ultimately will lead to success," said NKU head coach Bob Sheehan. "Our goalkeeping and back line play was outstanding again tonight. Rachel Conaway and Chloe Mills held down the midfield. Congratulations to Sam Duwel on her second game-winning goal this week. Sam pushes forward in key situations and demonstrates the ability to find seams and finish. Shawna Zaken and Emily Soltes set the goal up nicely, and we had some terrific play off of our bench tonight which benefitted the team tremendously. Overall, we are pleased to earn three points at home."
