CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Northern Kentucky women's basketball led at the half on the road, but ultimately fell to Austin Peay by a final score of 52-48. With the loss, NKU drops to 1-4 on the season, while the Governors advance to 3-3.
STAT LEADERS
- Taylor Clos led all players with 21 points. The rookie point guard was 8-for-14 from the field, including 5-for-7 from 3-point range.
- Kailey Coffey joined Clos in double figures, chipping in 11 points on a 5-for-5 outing from the field.
- Grayson Rose continued to lead the Norse in rebounding with 11 boards to go with six points and three blocks.
FIRST HALF SUMMARY
- Clos dropped 13 points in the first quarter alone to help the Norse hold an 18-18 lead at the end of 10 minutes.
- The Norse outscored the Governors in the second half, 18-11, to hold a 36-29 lead heading into the locker room.
- NKU went 14-for-28 from the field in the half and held Austin Peay to just eight field goals. The Governors used trips to the free throw to their advantage, going a perfect 11-for-11 in the half.
SECOND HALF SUMMARY
- The Norse struggled to score in the second half, with just five field goals made on 17 attempts for 29.4 percent. Austin Peay did not improve its shooting by much but maintained consistency at 35.0 percent.
- The Governors outscored the Norse 13-6 in the third to tie the contest up at 42-42, and went on to win the fourth quarter by a 10-6 count.
- Clos drilled a triple with 13 seconds remaining and was barely off the mark with four seconds to go as Austin Peay went on to take the game.
NORSE NOTES
- NKU shot 42.2 percent from the field, while Austin Peay shot 34.9 percent. However, the Governors used free throw shooting to stay in the contest, making 18-of-21 from the charity stripe while the Norse took just four free throws.
- The Norse outrebounded Austin Peay, 29-27, and were able to contain the Governors' top scorer and rebounder, holding Arielle Gonzalez-Varner to just one field goal and one rebound.
- NKU committed 25 turnovers, falling victim to 14 steals by the Governors.
- Molly Glick sank her 100th career 3-pointer in the setback, making her the 13th Norse in program history to drain 100 triples in a career.

- NKU returns home on Friday, Dec. 7, to take on Illinois State inside BB&T Arena. Tipoff against the Redbirds is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET and the contest will be broadcast on ESPN3.
