@NKUNorseTennis men hit the road for Dayton

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Northern Kentucky's men's tennis will take on its first out-of-state opponent of the 2018 season, making the short trip north to face the Flyers of Dayton. First serve is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET.

NKU sits at 2-2 on the year, with its wins coming in back-to-back home contests against Pikeville and Thomas More, 7-0. Jorge Rodriguez Agudo is riding a three-match winning streak in singles, dating back to a road match versus Eastern Kentucky. The Norse have been playing with their doubles pairings since the start of season, but the singles lineup has been established consistently throughout the first four matches of the season with Andrew Niehaus shaking out to be NKU's top singles player while Blaine Carr and Rodriguez Agudo hold down the No. 2 and 3 spots, respectively.

Dayton has been enjoying a successful season early on, sporting an 8-2 record. Both losses have been tightly-contested, falling 4-3 to both VCCU and Butler. Northern Kentucky will be the third Horizon League opponent for the Flyers this season, with a 6-1 win over IUPUI and a 4-0 victory over cross-town foe Wright State. Dayton returns all three of its All-Atlantic 10 honorees from a season ago, headlined by first-teamer Jordan Benjamin.
