  • Jazmyne Geist was just off a double-double with nine points and a team-high seven rebounds.
FIRST HALF SUMMARY

  • The Norse had 14 turnovers in the first half. NKU had held its turnovers to 14 or fewer overall for the past three games.

  • There was little fouling on both ends, as the Norse committed just seven fouls and UIC had only a pair.

SECOND HALF SUMMARY
  • NKU kept pace and closed the deficit to single digits, trailing 36-28 at the 5:56 mark. However, the Flames finished the third quarter on a 19-8 run to hold a 55-34 edge going into the final stanza.
  • UIC shot 50.0 percent in the second half to solidify control of the contest.
  • NKU made a run at the end, outscoring UIC 21-18 in the fourth quarter, but were unable to get within single digits again for the remainder of the contest.

NORSE NOTES
  • The contest was NKU's first regular-season loss to the Flames, and the all-time series moves to 4-2 in favor of the Norse.
  • Both teams shot over 40.0 percent from the field, with NKU going 22-for-54 (40.7%) while the Flames shot 27-for-59 (45.8%). However, it was UIC's percentage from long range that was the starkest difference as the Flames were 8-for-12 for 66.7 percent from the 3-point line.
  • NKU held the edge in rebounding, 35-31.
