Bracket set for top-seeded @NKUNorseMBB at #MotorCityMadness

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The bracket is in place for the 2018 Little Caesar's Horizon League Men's Basketball Championship, where Northern Kentucky earned the No. 1 seed by virtue of its Horizon League Regular-Season Championship.

NKU will face the winner of the No. 8/No. 9 game at 8 p.m., on Saturday, March 3. Travel partners Cleveland State and Youngstown State earned the No. 8 and No. 9 seeds, respectively.

The Norse finished the regular season with a 22-8 overall record and 15-3 mark in the Horizon League. They enter Motor City Madness on a three-game winning streak and have won eight of their last nine games.

Wright State, which finished one game back of the Norse in the Horizon League standings, is the No. 2 seed. The Raiders await the winner between No. 7 Green Bay and No. 10 Detroit Mercy.

The three seed goes to UIC, who face the sixth-seeded Milwaukee Panthers. Preseason Horizon League favorite Oakland faces IUPUI in the No. 4/No. 5 game. Those two contests will be played Sunday, March 4.

Northern Kentucky is the reigning Horizon League tournament champion, winning three games in three days last year to claim the crown and earn the League's automatic berth into the NCAA tournament. NKU became just the seventh team all-time and only the second since 1970 to earn a berth into the NCAA tourney in its first year eligible.
