INDIANAPOLIS – Northern Kentucky men's tennis fell to 2-9 and 0-3 in Horizon League play after a 7-0 setback to League foe IUPUI on the road.
Match Notables
- IUPUI used doubles wins in the No. 3 and 2 spots to clinch the opening point, and took the match with wins in the No. 5, 6 and 2 singles matches.
- Andrew Niehaus and Chris Murray each took sets off their opponents in singles play. Niehaus fell in an extended opening set to David Beasley in the top flight before pushing the tiebreak with a 6-4 second-set victory. Beasley claimed the tiebreak, 10-3.
- Murray bounced back from a 6-1 first set loss to Bradley Luetschwager in No. 4 singles to take a 6-4 second set. His opponent went on to win the tiebreak, 10-6.
- Blaine Carr also had a tight matchup in No. 3 singles against Eric Hollingsworth, falling 6-4, 7-6(4).
