HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. –Northern Kentucky men's basketball jumped into both national mid-major polls this week. The Norse checked in at No. 20 in the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Top 25, and the team came in at No. 21 in Mid-Major Madness' The Other Top 25 poll.
NKU is 18-4 on the year and 8-1 in Horizon League play, winning 10 of its last 11 game and riding a six-game winning streak. The Norse are 13-0 at BB&T Arena this season, most recently picking up wins in Highland Heights this past weekend against Green Bay and Milwaukee.
The Norse have spent much of the season in the receiving votes category of both polls.
Northern Kentucky travels to IUPUI on Friday, Feb. 1 for a 7 p.m. tipoff, before heading to UIC on Sunday, Feb. 3 for a 4 p.m. ET tipoff against UIC. Both games will be broadcast on ESPN+. The Norse then return to the friendly confines of BB&T Arena, where they will host Detroit Mercy on Feb. 7 before celebrating Homecoming on Feb. 9 against Oakland.
