CINCINNATI, Ohio – Northern Kentucky men's tennis fell to the preseason Horizon League favorite, Cleveland State, on Saturday afternoon by a final score of 6-1. The Norse drop to 5-11 on the year and 1-4 in league play while the Vikings move to 14-7 (3-0 Horizon). Following the match, NKU honored its lone senior,

Match Notables
- Cleveland State used wins in No. 1 and 3 doubles to secure the opening point. In the No. 2 doubles match, Jorge Rodriguez Agudo and Aleksander Sadal defeated Luke Phillips and Matthew Terry, 6-3.
- Felipe Hidalgo recorded NKU's only point of the contest out of the No. 6 singles spot. He took down William Malm in matching 6-4 sets.
- Nathan Schwartz dropped a three-set match against the reigning Horizon League Player of the Year, Nico Mostardi. Mostardi claimed a 6-2 win in the opening set, but Schwartz pushed a pro set with an extended second set, 7-5. The two had a tightly-contested pro set, with Mostardi winning, 1-0(6).
NKU will be off for two weeks leading up to the Horizon League Championships. The tournament will be held at Schwartz Tennis Center in Lafayette, Indiana, on Friday-Sunday, April 26-28.
