The Raiders scored on their first possession and never trailed in the contest. NKU surrendered more than 73 points for just the second time this season, and allowed WSU to shoot better from the field (61 percent) and 3-point range (55 percent) than any other opponent all season.
Scouting Green Bay
Green Bay had a three-game win streak snapped in its last outing, a 98-94 overtime setback at Youngstown State. The Phoenix are now 10-12 on the season and 5-4 in league play, one game behind the Norse. JayQuan McCloud averages a team-high 16.3 points per game, but is closely followed by freshman standout Amari Davis at 15.7 ppg. PJ Pipes also contributes 10.9 ppg, while Kameron Hankerson nearly provides GB with four double-figure scorers at 9.8 ppg. Green Bay features the nation's fastest offense and fills it up at 81.9 ppg, while allowing opponents to score at an 80.7 ppg clip.
Series Stuff
Green Bay snapped Northern Kentucky's five-game unbeaten streak in the series when it won 73-59 at BB&T Arena earlier this year. Now, the all-time series sits at 5-4 in favor of the Norse. NKU has won the last two in Green Bay by a slim six-point average margin, but is just 2-2 all-time on the road versus the Phoenix.
In the first meeting this year, Green Bay opened on a 10-0 run and never trailed in a 73-59 victory. NKU allowed GB to shoot 47 percent for the game, including 41 percent from 3-point range, while making just 37 percent of its own shots and a mere 19 percent of its threes. Eleven (11) Norse played and each scored in the game. Tate, who made his return after missing the previous 10 games with a hand injury, led NKU with 11 points on 5-for-10 shooting. Faulkner was the only other Norse in double figures with 10.
