Northern Kentucky signs Estonian forward Patrick Otto Mäe

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Northern Kentucky University Norse men's basketball announced the addition of Estonian forward Patrick Otto Mäe on Wednesday.

"Patrick is a versatile young player with a very bright future ahead of him," said Northern Kentucky head coach Darrin Horn. "Coming from a prestigious program like Tilton Prep, he's been coached at a high level and understands what it takes to compete every day. We're excited about the combination of his size, skill set, and feel for the game, and we believe he has tremendous upside as he continues to develop here at NKU. Patrick's work ethic and willingness to learn made him a great fit for our program."

Mäe, a 6'9" forward from Tallinn, Estonia, recently competed with Estonia's U20 team in 2025 U20 EuroBasket Division B. Mäe averaged 6.2 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.0 assists in 13.6 minutes in six games, including a pair of games with double-digit scoring. Mäe shot 16/32 in the tournament and shot 3/5 from distance. Mäe attended Tilton Prep School in New Hampshire under head coach Marcus O'Neil. There, he averaged 13 points, eight rebounds, and four assists per game while shooting 49% from the field and 68% from the free throw line.
